Description
This fun, sociable and informative one day painting workshop will give you all the materials you need and the hints and tips to create a painting of the pup you love. You will paint a work of art that is in the ‘Pup Goes The Easel Style’, but with your own choice of colours and accessories to decorate your pup. At the end of the day, you will have a canvas to take home with you which captures the essence of your pup.
These pawesome art workshops are suitable for adults of all abilities and absolute beginners are welcomed. The group sizes are kept small to enable you to achieve a whole painting in a day. These sessions are intended to be fun, relaxed and informative. It is widely recognised that being creative releases endorphins which enhance your mood and promotes mental wellbeing. It is a pawfect excuse for some well-deserved ‘me time’.
Alison will provide a canvas, paper, pencils, acrylic paints and brushes which you will use, on the day, to create your unique painting. You will need to bring an A4 sized photograph or print of your own pup to copy (head and shoulders) as well as an apron to protect your clothes. In addition, you will need to bring a light lunch and a water bottle.
Hot and cold soft drinks and biscuits will be provided on arrival, and it is suggested that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to meet the other attendees and to enjoy your refreshments.
At the beginning of the painting workshop, Alison will give a short explanation of the story behind her Pup Goes The Easel business and also what to expect during the course of the day. After that, you will be led, step by step, through the painting process, to create your individual work of art. During the middle of the day, you will be given the opportunity to stop for lunch and then we will continue to finish your canvases.
The workshops will take place in my South Farnham home and at other local venues.
As there is limited availability for these amazing, dog themed, art workshops, you will need to purchase your tickets in advance. These events can sell out fast and I don’t want anyone to miss out.

Anne –
Attended one today, I’m a complete beginner and was nervous that I would not fit in. It was great fun, we all praised each other and were all pleased at the end results. A thoroughly lovely day.
Alison Molan –
Thank you so much for attending my workshop, Anne. I know you were nervous and I am thrilled that you were able to complete the painting and take home a canvas that you can be proud of. Well done. We all have hidden talents!
Linda Mowbray –
I had a brilliant day creating my Cockapoo picture. I am a doodler and no more so all the advice was essential. I now have my picture above her doggy food 😁

You took to it so quickly and created a lovely piece of art. I am so pleased you enjoyed the workshop and that your pawesome pawtrait has found a good home!

I sketch as much as I get time for now but I can’t remember when I last used acrylics (29 years ago?) and never on canvas. Thrilled to go home with a completed painting (and looking like I hoped it would). Ali is the perfect art tutor and the day was fun and relaxing, I thoroughly recommend the workshop to those of all abilities.
Alison Molan –
Thank you for your kind words Eleanor. I am glad you enjoyed the workshop and pleased that you were happy with your pup pawtrait.

A fantastic way to spend a day! This workshop was held in Alison’s beautiful home studio. All equipment and materials were provided. It was a small sociable group we were given lots of attention and guidance throughout each stage of creating our masterpieces. Alison is very inspiring and encouraging. I came away with a canvas painting of my lovely Border Terrier which I am very proud of. It now hangs in prime position in my home! I would highly recommend the Pup Goes The Easel workshop. You won’t be disappointed!
